Dear Marceline R-V Community:
The school year has begun successfully, and I have some updates that I would like to share with the community.
News/Updates:
Back-to-School
We had a successful first day districtwide. It is always great to walk around and witness such dedication from the administration, faculty, and staff. The amount of time and energy they put into making their spaces welcoming for our students is impressive.
As we progress through the school year, please stay tuned to our school district’s Facebook page for regular updates. We will work hard to keep the community up-to-date on what is going on throughout the district.
Building/Grounds
If you look around campus, it is clear how hard our maintenance, custodial, and grounds staff have worked to make Marceline R-V look great. I wanted to commend them on a job well done. We have great-looking facilities that have been maintained well, giving us something to be proud of.
New Central Office Location
The Marceline R-V Central Office has been moved to the high school building. More specifically, central office is located in the west hallway of the main high school building. The Central Office sign has been moved to a spot just Northwest of the main high school building to indicate its location. For now, if you need to come to central office, please use the main high school entrance. Soon, we will have an access control system at the west entrance of the high school, which will be used as the central office entrance/exit. We will update the community when that is finished.
Board of Education Vacancy Announcement
The Marceline R-V School District Board of Education has an immediate vacancy for a School Board seat. This specific school board seat is in the middle of its term and will be elected again in April 2025 for the remaining year of the term. Interested candidates can contact the Superintendent, Dr. Bruner, for more information. You may reach him by phone at 660-376-3371 or by email at zbruner@marcelineschools.org.

Substitute Teacher Pay Increase
Effective September 1st, the Marceline R-V School District will pay substitute teachers $125 a day, an increase from $100 a day.
Activities/Athletics Updates
Our Secondary Assistant Principal/Athletic Director, Kirsten Ewigman, will continue posting weekly updates on the district’s Facebook page, giving the community a weekly preview of events. This is a great way to stay up to date with all of the busy schedules.
I look forward to having a great school year here at Marceline R-V. Go Tigers!
Respectfully,
Dr. Zach Bruner, Superintendent
