Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Wyatt took 15 students to compete at Missouri State University in the State Science Olympiad competition on Saturday. Our students performed exceptionally well, competing against both public and private schools of all sizes from across the state (there are no class divisions).
We competed in 22 events and placed in 5 events, which is the best we have ever done at the state level:
3rd place, Trajectory--Hayden DeWeese and Jack DeWeese
3rd place, WiFi Lab--Lance O'Dell and Will Krumpelman
4th place, Bridge--Brayden King and Rhea Krumpelman
4th place, Wright Stuff--Lance O'Dell and Will Krumpelman
5th place, Experimental Design--Madison Foster, Rhea Krumpelman, and Veronica Vaughn
Other students who attended but did not place: Molly Allen, Aiden Bussman, Piper Hoon, Olivia Johnson, Ava Sportsman, Micah Tate, and Brianna Teeter.
We are very proud of all of these students. Competition is fierce at the state level, and our students represented Marceline well. Please congratulate them on a job well done.
