During a special meeting, the Marceline R-V Board of Education hired Dr. Zach Bruner to be the Marceline Superintendent of Schools for the 2022-23 school year, beginning July 1st, 2022.
Dr. Bruner comes to the District from Bevier C-4, where he has served as Superintendent of Schools since July 2021. Prior to that, Dr. Bruner was the Superintendent of Madison C-3 for two years. Before his time at Madison, he was the K-12 Principal at Macon County R-IV. Also, from 2016-2020, Dr. Bruner was a Volunteer Assistant HS Wrestling Coach at Marceline. Dr. Bruner is a 2005 graduate of Marceline High School.
Dr. Bruner earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Missouri in 2009; a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from William Woods University in 2014; a Specialist of Educational Administration Degree from William Woods University in 2017; and a Doctorate of Educational Leadership from William Woods University in 2020.
Dr. Bruner is married to Skylar Bruner who is a Founder and the Program Director of Creative Pathways Residential Supports. They reside in Marceline with their three children: Van, Coley, and Townes.
