Varsity Softball UPDATE- Cameron Tournament Amended Schedule
All games will be played SATURDAY
Due to extreme temperatures, all Friday games in the Cameron High School Softball Tournament have been canceled. Our varsity softball team will travel to play 3 games Saturday in Cameron. A schedule will be posted once it is released.
Due to extreme temperatures, the Varsity football game at Warsaw this Friday night will start at 8:00 pm.
REMINDER- Marceline High School and Middle School Fall Sports/Marching Band Picture Day is: Wednesday August 23, 2023. All pictures will be taken in the FIELDHOUSE.

This Week's HS/MS Activities
HS/MS softball and football have pushed back practice times later in the evening each night this week to accommodate for the high temps and reduce limitations based on MSHSAA's guidelines. Please be aware if this affects your child.

Softball will start tomorrow at 10:15 am at Mexico High School.

We will do a Chromebook handout for returning students grades 7-12 tomorrow from 9-12 and 1-3. Insurance must be paid at the time of pickup and the Chromebook agreement signed by a parent and student. There may be another pickup time later in the week. There were a lot of Chromebooks turned in last year without chargers, if replacements are needed there will be a $20 charge. From available here - https://5il.co/wiv2
REMINDER- The make-up ImPACT Test will be this Monday, August 7th in the MS Science Room- Freshmen at 8:00, Juniors at 9:00. Junior and Freshmen athletes will not be allowed to practice until they complete this test. If a student needs to retest, they will be emailed before this date. Emails were sent to those who need to re-test.

If your 9th through 12th-grade student is missing a class in their schedule, he or she needs to come in on their designated day and time to meet with Mrs. Rollison to find a class that best fits their needs and schedule. The schedule is as follows:
Seniors: Monday, August 7 (9-12)
Juniors: Monday, August 7 (1-3)
Sophomores: Tuesday, August 8 (9-12)
Freshmen: Tuesday, August 7 (1-3)
If the designated time does not work, please have the student email Mrs. Rollison to arrange a different time. The same days/times are available for students to come in and discuss possible changes needed for their current schedule.
Middle school students do not need to meet for registration. Sixth-grade schedules will be finalized in the upcoming week.
On May 1st, it was announced that Marceline R-V was a recipient of the School Safety Grant, and our first of many school safety projects has been completed. We now have a new fence at the ELC. The old, four-foot fence was replaced with a six-foot, black powder-coated fence. This provides a safer environment for our ELC students to play each day, and we are thankful we were able to purchase this needed improvement with grant funds.
There will not be any GIRLS weights tomorrow. Today was the last day of summer GIRLS lifting. HS and MS Boys will continue as scheduled.

Booster Club Concession Stand Sign-Ups
All parents are encouraged to sign up for concession stand duties during the fall football season with the Tiger Booster Club as ALL activities greatly benefit from this organization. Each team has been assigned a night for parent volunteers, but you are welcome to work whenever best fits your schedules.
